Alec Baldwin Lashes Out At Critics Over ‘Sexually Suggestive’ Instagram Caption
Alec Baldwin has expressed his dissatisfaction with the criticism he received for an Instagram caption he wrote under a photo of his wife and young son, which many deemed as “sexually suggestive.”
In the post’s comments section, the 64-year-old actor wrote, “The US is a country fueled by hate,” in response to one of his defenders.
The caption, which was accompanied by an image of Hilaria Baldwin, 39, getting a back rub from 6-year-old Leonardo, had originally read, “The old ‘let me give you a back rub’ ploy,” which sparked a wave of criticism.
Critics called the word choice “disgusting” and “weird,” with one adding, “SexuaIizing children is always so weird but your own child? Yikes.”
In light of the negative commentary, the 30 Rock star added, “Potato chips to follow,” and explained that he adjusted the text because “there is so much of that Reddit trash out there.”
Alec and Hilaria have been the subject of several internet conspiracies over the years, including the theory that the Boston-born yoga instructor wears fake baby bumps during her pregnancies, which she has denied.
However, they currently have more pressing matters to attend to as Alec and the film’s armorer, Hannah Gutierrez Reed, have been charged with involuntary manslaughter for the fatal shooting of “Rust” cinematographer Halyna Hutchins in October 2021.
