Anderson Humane Society taking in 75 extra beagles after rescuing 100 from Virginia facility
CHICAGO (CBS) — The Elgin animal shelter that took in 100 beagles rescued from a Virginia breeding facility is opening its doorways as soon as once more.
The first leg of the rescue was so successful, the Anderson Humane Society tells our news companions at WBBM Radio it plans to absorb 75 extra beagles.
Earlier this month, CBS 2 reported 4,000 canines had been in want of rescue. Within 24-hours of taking the beagles in, all 100 had at the very least a brief house. Most of these preliminary beagles are already in without end houses.
Anderson Humane plans to absorb the addition beagles in a pair weeks.
