Australian swimming coach going through sexual assault costs


A high-level Australian coach is going through 20 costs regarding the alleged sexual assault of younger swimmers within the Nineteen Seventies.

Dick Caine, 76, was initially charged by New South Wales state police on June 22 after being arrested at his dwelling in Sydney. Eleven extra costs have been added Tuesday in Sutherland Local Court.

The costs relate to 5 women Caine was teaching within the Nineteen Seventies and the sexual assault of a lady in 1992.

The Sydney Morning Herald newspaper reported that Caine was granted bail as a result of he has terminal most cancers and his case has been adjourned to Aug. 30.

In promotional materials for his swimming faculty earlier than he retired in 2020, Caine stated he labored with 11 world or Olympic champions and had been a coach for greater than 40 years.
