A 30-year-old man died in police custody in Tamil Nadu’s Chennai on Sunday, The Indian Express reported. This is the second such incident reported within the state capital in two months.
Five law enforcement officials, together with an inspector, sub-inspector and head constables of the Kodungaiyur Police Station, have been suspended.

Custodial deaths in Tamil Nadu
