China’s Jan-Sept gold consumption down 4.36% y/y – association

BEIJING — China’s gold consumption fell 4.36% to 778.09 tonnes in the first nine months of the year compared with the corresponding period in 2021, the China Gold Association said on Friday.

Gold output in the January to September period rose 14.04% on an annual basis to 269.987 tonnes, the association said in a statement. (Reporting by Albee Zhang and Dominique Patton; Editing by Christian Schmollinger)
