Crash between automobile and prepare closes busy road in Plainfield

CHICAGO (CBS) – One of the busiest areas in suburban Plainfield was dropped at a standstill when a automobile and prepare collided at Main Street.

The railroad crossing was shut down for fairly a while.

There have been no accidents as a result of crash, in keeping with the Plainfield Fire Department. The two occupants of the automobile weren’t inside when the prepare hit.

Fire officers mentioned they’re uncertain about how the automobile received on the tracks.

Multiple crossings and the Route 126 off ramp kind southbound Interstate 55 needed to be closed to take care of the crash.

Plainfield police and Canadian National have been on the scene investigating.
