Driver charged after hitting CPD officer with automobile throughout site visitors cease in Humboldt Park


CHICAGO (CBS) – A Chicago man is charged with tried homicide after allegedly hitting a Chicago police officer with a automobile throughout a site visitors cease in Humboldt Park Thursday.

Timothy Hendricks, 32, is charged with one felony depend of tried first-degree homicide, one felony depend of aggravated battery with hurt to police, one felony depend of resisting a peace officer, and one felony depend of producing lower than 15 grams of cocaine.

Police mentioned the officer was conducting a site visitors cease, within the 1000 block of North Ridgeway Avenue shortly after 8 p.m., when the driving force struck the officer.

The officer was taken to the hospital in good situation with minor accidents to his arm.
