Firefighter significantly injured in West Side blaze
CHICAGO (CBS) — A Chicago firefighter was significantly injured whereas responding to a fireplace within the Austin neighborhood.
The fireplace began round 6:30 p.m. in a two-story industrial constructing within the 4800 block of West Chicago Avenue.
Heavy black smoke could possibly be seen pouring from the constructing as firefighters labored to extinguish the flames.
A firefighter was taken to a hospital in critical situation, after struggling non-life threatening accidents.
No different accidents had been reported.
