Former NBA star Amar’e Stoudemire arrested in miami after allegedly punching his teenage daughter

Former NBA star Amar’e Stoudemire was arrested in Miami after allegedly punching and slapping his teenage daughter, police data present. Stoudemire, 40, is charged with battery, Miami Police Department data present.

Stoudemire allegedly entered his daughter’s room in his Miami house Saturday evening and accused her of speaking again to her grandmother. The 6’10” former New York Knicks and Miami Heat heart then punched her on the fitting facet of her jaw, slapped her within the face — leaving her with a bloody nostril — after which repeatedly slapped the “left side of her body,” based on the police report. 

One of the officers who responded to the scene wrote within the report that he “observed blood stains on the victim’s sweater and sweatpants.”

The teen texted her mom an image of her crying with blood operating down her face and, when the lady’s mom known as Stoudemire, he suggested her to select their daughter up as a result of she was being “disrespectful,” based on the report.

According to police, Stoudemire instructed them his daughter had known as her mom as a result of she was “sad” that she had “received a whooping from him for being disrespectful and a liar.” When requested to elaborate, Stoudemire refused to reply and was then arrested, police stated. 

Stoudemire has two daughters, ages 17 and 14, based on CBS Miami. It was not clear which daughter was concerned within the incident.

Stoudemire final performed within the NBA in 2016. He was most lately a participant growth assistant for the Brooklyn Nets from 2020 till the top of the 2021-2022 season.

The alleged incident occurred hours after Stoudemire stated on Instagram that he had acquired a grasp’s diploma from the University of Miami.
