General Electric Co on Monday said Chief Executive Larry Culp will take the additional role of heading its aviation unit, replacing John Slattery, who will become the unit’s chief commercial officer.

Culp will retain his responsibilities as the U.S. conglomerate’s chairman and top boss. The company last year announced it would break up into three companies focused on aviation, healthcare and energy. (Reporting by Abhijith Ganapavaram in Bengaluru)
