Joshimath Landslide : Due to landslide in Joshimath, Uttarakhand, the situation remains very critical. There is an atmosphere of fear among the people due to the cracks in the houses. The central and state governments are making every possible effort to evacuate people from Joshimath. It is still snowing and raining in Joshimath. It is being told that if such snowfall and rains continue, then the land of Joshimath may slip further. Meanwhile, the Uttarakhand Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert.

According to IMD, there is a possibility of heavy rain and snowfall in Uttarakhand on January 24, January 25 and January 28. There is an alert of snowfall and rain in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Dehradun, Tehri, Rudraprayag and Bageshwar. Snowfall may occur in areas above 3000 meters. Between January 24 and 28, 5 to 7 feet of snow is expected in areas with a height of 3000 meters or more. (Joshimath Landslide)

There is a possibility of 2 to 4 feet of snow falling between 2500 meters to 3000 meters. There can be 1 to 3 feet snowfall between 2000 meters to 2500 meters. While issuing an advisory, the Meteorological Department said that due to heavy rains, there is a possibility of landslides and falling of stones from the mountains. After the IMD’s alert, it is estimated that due to rain and snowfall, the danger in Joshimath Landslide may increase further.
Let us tell you that the cracks in the houses of Joshimath are increasing continuously. The central team is also engaged for the survey of Joshimath. People are being shifted from there to safer places. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami held a meeting regarding the rain and snowfall in Joshimath in the last 24 hours and instructed the officials to make better arrangements for the local people.
