When Was the Intel Arc Graphics Card Released?

Laptops containing the Intel Arc™ A350M and A370M graphics cards were first released for pre-order in March 2022; however, the more powerful versions of the Intel Arc graphics card, the Intel Arc 5 and the Intel Arc 7, were not released until early summer.

The Cost of the Intel Arc Graphics Card

Although many people presumed that laptops containing the new Intel Arc graphics card would be unaffordable, this is not the case. In fact, laptops containing the Intel Arc 3 can be purchased for around $899. However, if you want to purchase a laptop with the Arc 5 or Arc 7 version, then this will cost a little bit more.

Features and Specifications of the Intel Arc Graphics Card

The Intel Arc Graphics card was introduced to rival the extremely popular AMD Radeon RX 6000 Series and the Nvidia RTX 30 Series. Here are some of the things you can expect from the different graphics cards available:

  • Intel Arc A380 – this is the least powerful of the range, but it is still a good graphics card. In fact, it can match the performance of Nvidia’s latest generation of graphics cards. Not only does it have ray tracing support, but it also has 1024 Shading Units.
  • Intel Arc A580 – this graphics card is slightly more powerful than the A380 and it can rival Nvidia’s RTX 3050. Not only does this card offer 175W TDP but it also offers 8GB of GDDPR6 memory.
  • Intel Arc A750 – this graphics card could rival Nvidia’s RTX 3060 as it has 8GB of VRAM and 225W TDP.
  • Intel Arc A780 – if you are looking for a graphics card that does it all, then this is the one for you. This graphics card could rival both AMD’s RX 6700 XT and Nvidia’s RTX 3700.

Over the past few years, graphics cards have improved dramatically. The Intel Arc graphics cards are no exception to this, and they are certainly worth their money. Not only is this graphics card much more powerful than its predecessors, but it is also affordable. What more could you ask for?
