Krishna Poonia sits on dharna in Jaipur, demands resignation of WFI President


Jaipur. The Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) has been accused of harassing wrestlers in the country. The WFI has been accused of imposing its arbitrary rules on wrestlers. Famous wrestlers of the country, who made the countrymen feel proud by putting medals in India’s bag, opened a front against the WFI at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, protesting against it. Now Krishna Poonia has also come out in support of these wrestlers who are on strike in Delhi. Condemning the matter, he started a sit-in in Jaipur.

State Sports Council President and Congress leader Krishna Poonia, who has come out in support of women wrestlers, sat on a dharna at Amar Jawan Jyoti Sthal in Jaipur. Poonia said it was shameful to exploit female players in this way. I was with the wrestlers and supported them. The resignation of the WFI President will also be demanded.

This protest of the players got the support of many people. The opposition supported this performance by wrestlers. At the same time, the leader of the Indian Farmers Union Rakesh Tikait also demanded the government to give justice to the wrestlers regarding this issue. Rakesh Tikait tweeted and wrote, “Wrestlers who are proudly holding the nation’s head high around the world should sit on strike. The allegations against the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) officials are very serious. The central that the government should be careful in this matter and work to give justice to the sports and players who are related to the village land.
