Man charged with tried homicide of 48-year-old in South Austin

CHICAGO (CBS) – A person is charged after allegedly capturing and significantly wounding one other within the South Austin neighborhood again in June.

Maurice Holmes, 31, is charged with one felony rely of tried first-degree homicide, one felony rely of aggravated battery – discharge of a firearm, one felony rely of illegal use of a weapon – possession by a felon, and one felony rely of armed routine prison.  

Holmes was arrested on Tuesday within the 100 block of North Waller Avenue.   

Police stated he was recognized because the offender who on June 19 shot and significantly wounded a 48-year-old man on the identical location.  

He was positioned into custody and charged accordingly.

Holmes is due in bond court docket Thursday.
