Mikhail Gorbachev, former Soviet Union chief, dies at 91


Former Soviet Union chief Mikhail Gorbachev has died at age 91, in response to Russian news companies.

His reason for dying was not instantly launched, however Gorbachev’s workplace had stated earlier that he was present process therapy on the Central Clinical Hospital in Moscow, in response to The Associated Press.

Gorbachev served because the eighth and remaining General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union from 1985 till 1991. During his time on this function, he oversaw a deescalation of the Cold War, which culminated within the dissolution of the USSR and the autumn of the Berlin Wall.

In 1990, Gorbachev gained the Nobel Peace Prize.
