Monsoon news Live Updates: IMD points pink alert in Pune; elements of North Maharashtra witness drought

Monsoon, Weather Updates Today: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a pink alert in elements of Maharashtra on Saturday, together with Raigad, Ratnagiri, Pune and Kolhapur. According to Regional Meteorological Centre, Mumbai and its suburbs will obtain reasonable rain.

While elements of Maharastra document incessant rain and flooding, districts in north Maharashtra see a rise in drought-prone areas. The research, ‘Monitoring drought pattern for pre-and post-monsoon seasons in a semi-arid region of Western India’warns different districts in Marathwada and elements of north Maharashtra— Beed, Osmanabad, Jalna, Jalgaon, Aurangabad, Nanded, and Dhule — that are weak, because the situation is more likely to severely influence the agrarian communities.

In different news, Chandigarh data poor air air pollution with AQI 235 whereas Delhi, Mumbai and Ghaziabad document reasonable, in keeping with information from the Central Pollution Control Board.
