It’s been a great regular season, and I’ve enjoyed making the SuperWest selections for the Players of the Week.
We’re down to the final regular season selections, and once again each of the picks were clear standouts at their positions.
So without further ado, here are my Week 13 picks for SuperWest Players of the Week for Offense, Defense, and Special Teams as well as Offensive and Defensive Freshmen.
Offensive Player of the Week: Michael Penix Jr., QB, Washington

Michael Penix Jr. was the Apple Cup.
Penix Jr. made NFL-level throws on a consistent basis.
He threw for 485 yards with three touchdowns and also added 24 yards and two TDs on the ground in Washington’s victory over Washington State.
Defensive Player of the Week: Kitan Oladapo, DB, Oregon State

Kitan Oladapo proved to be Oregon State’s steadiest defender in the Beaver victory over Oregon.
Oladapo finished the outing with 17 tackles, seven solo, and half a tug for a loss.
Special Teams Player of the Week: Silas Bolden, Ret, Oregon State

Silas Bolden had a huge return in the midst of OSU’s UFC ground-and-pound comeback.
Bolden’s 48-yard kick return felt crucial in the moment.
Offensive Freshman of the Week: Taylen Green, QB, Boise State

In a game that didn’t matter except for pride, Taylen Green just wanted to win an award.
Green threw for 220 yards and four touchdowns, and also added 91 and and another TD on the ground in Boise State’s victory over Utah State.
Defensive Freshman of the Week: Isaiah Taylor, S, Arizona

Freshmen Isaiah Taylor and Jacob Manu tag-teamed to make the biggest play of Arizona’s season, forcing the game-winning interception in the Territorial Cup.
Manu pressured the quarterback forcing a wobbly throw which Taylor snagged for the dub.
Honorable Mention
Offensive: Caleb Williams (USC)
Defensive: Daniel Scott (Cal)
Special Teams: Malik Sherrod (Fresno State)
Freshman Offensive: Isaiah Newell (Oregon State)
Freshman Defensive: Andrew Simpson (Boise State)
