seventh sufferer dies after Highland Park mass capturing; suspect fired 70 rounds, wore girls’s clothes to keep away from detection

CHICAGO (CBS) — Authorities stated 22-year-old Robert “Bobby” E. Crimo III, the “person of interest” within the lethal Highland Park July 4th mass capturing is now in police custody. Highland Park mayor Nancy Rotering stated prices are prone to be filed later Tuesday. 

This comes as police confirmed a seventh sufferer has died from the capturing.

The high-powered rife used within the capturing was bought legally, the mayor stated. Crimo fired greater than 70 rounds through the assault, authorities stated.  Authorities stated he dressed as a girl to cover his tattoos and mix in with the group.

He was noticed in North Chicago, police tried site visitors cease, he fled, then they stopped him in Lake Forest, and was taken into custody with out incident.

The vacation mass capturing left seven useless and dozens injured. Police stated the capturing occurred round 10:15 a.m. through the July 4th parade. Authorities stated the gunman opened fireplace from a close-by rooftop utilizing a high-powered rifle.
