Sign in assist of abortion rights, stained-glass window vandalized at Second Unitarian Church in East Lakeview
CHICAGO (CBS) — An indication supporting abortion rights was vandalized this week exterior the Second Unitarian Church of Chicago in East Lakeview.
Police stated between 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, two girls by way of projectiles towards the church at 656 W. Barry Ave. and broke a stained-glass window and an indication.
The signal exterior the church reads, “We support abortion on demand without apology,” and the glass in entrance of it remained damaged Thursday evening.
In a Facebook submit, Second Unitarian Church stated it was vandalized due to the message in favor of abortion rights – including, “We will not be made afraid.”
The church stated it’s planning a rally per week from Sunday in favor of defending abortion entry.
