Sky beat Washington Mystics, tie franchise file with 24 regular-season wins

CHICAGO (AP) — Kahleah Copper scored 19 factors, Allie Quigley added 18 factors and the Chicago Sky beat the short-handed Washington Mystics 93-83 on Friday evening.

Chicago (24-8) tied a franchise file for many regular-season wins, final completed by the 2013 crew. The Sky have a two-game lead over second-place Las Vegas with 4 video games to play. Chicago performs at Las Vegas on Thursday.

Rebekah Gardner and Azura Stevens every added 11 factors for Chicago (24-8). Stevens additionally had six rebounds and 5 blocks. Emma Meesseman and Courtney Vandersloot every scored 10 factors, and Candace Parker added 9.

Chicago dominated the primary half, taking a 55-34 lead into the intermission.

Myisha Hines-Allen, who was within the beginning lineup with Elena Delle Donne out on a relaxation day, scored 211 factors to steer Washington (20-13). Shakira Austin added 17 factors and Evina Westbrook scored 10.
