USC’s 1979 Heisman Trophy winning tailback Charles White dies


College Football Hall of Famer, Charles White, USC’s 1979 Heisman Trophy-winning tailback and a member of the Trojans’ 1978 national championship team who then played 9 seasons in the NFL, died today (Wednesday, Jan. 11) in Newport Beach, Calif. of cancer.  He was 64.
